Guest guest
thanks to everyone who responded a couple weeks ago when I posted that my daughter's cholesterol came back at 199. We decided to recheck her since these results were not done when she was fasting. I had high hopes that the results would be much lower, instead the new level is 206! What the heck?? Her developmental ped. doesn't think we should worry about it - just make sure she gets more exercise. I am going to do that. I'm very guilty of not making sure Ada gets lots of exercise. I've always wanted her to conserve her fuel for growth and even though I'm an athlete and wanted her to be one, too, I leaned towards trying to get her to gain weight rather than burn more calories. I guess it's kinda back-firing now. I'm going to have her take walks with me and to watch her intake of saturated fats. I sincerely hope that those of you with young children will heed my advice and make sure your RSS kids get exercise along with a diet rich in low-cholesterol and unsaturated foods.
