ELEVATED LACTIC ACID LEVELS

Hi

My daughter (5yo) recently dx with ASD also had elevated lactic acid. My doc

said maybe the stress of taking the blood. (she went nuts when they near her

with a needle?) However, she wasn't sure. What was the number given for

lactic acid.

I read somewhere - I think it was on Dr. Amy Holms web site that

elevated lactic acid levels is an indication of mercury toxicity. Our

son has elevated levels and we are about to pursue chelation. We also

had an abnormal organic acid panel.

So... it would be worth looking into.

I know there is a paper about Mercury Chelation protocol on the

Autism Research Institute website.
