Guest guest
Stefani, Yeah! Glad you are feeling better. And I'm very jealous of your A1c, with the predenisone I keep hovering around 8, even though I'm doing Medifast. My doc keeps threatening me with a pump but I just don't want one more thing hanging off of me! LOL I hope I get to see this Dr. when I'm at Jewish. He sounds wonderful. Dyane Phoenix ipf 02 > > Beth, Bruce, Dyane and all the fine members of our group - > > I feel so much better. I contacted my pulmo-dude's office and the doctor is not available this week as he is working ICU. His office staff is going to see what they can do to get the biopsy slides to Denver. I will be following up. I shot an email to Dr. Fernandez at National Jewish to apprise him of the situation. He telephoned me within 30 minutes of sending the email. We talked, he assured me he felt confident I had many years ahead of me as I have maintained my health since the original diagnosis of ILD in February of 2009. He has no recommendations for me other than to get the home exercise program going and to continue whatever I am doing because it is working for me. I spent 3 years without a CPAP or oxygen which have been added this year. I feel better with those two items and my oximeter to monitor. He said to find a pulmo-dude I can work with and if I am unsuccessful, we can plan an annual back to Denver. I have some concerns because of insurance company restrictions and doctor availability. > > Oh, and I took my A1c down from 65 to 62!! > > Will keep working it. Thanks for all of your support and keeping me grounded!! > > Smiles all around, guys, Thanks Again!! > > Stefani 61 year old Utahn > ILD 2/2006, NSIP (cellular) 6/2009, UIP 9/2009, Diabetes II 2/2006, Sleep Apnea 4/2009 >
