Guest guest
According to the studies on RSS/SGA children, growth hormone therapy does not cause any acceleration of puberty or adrenarche in these kids. However, the studies have found that these children often have an inherent early adrenarche. I would recommend that you have your son's pediatric endocrinologist look at him. The doctor may run a blood test to see what his DHEAS levels are (I believe these levels are an indicator of adrenarche, but I could be wrong). How has his bone age been progressing? > Hi everyone > my rss son has been on ght since 20 months - he is now 5 and I noticed some spots and blackheads on his face. Is this normal for a 5 year old or could it be to do with ght / early puberty. He is showing no other signs. > Maeve mother to (rss 5 years), Niall (21/2) and Niamh (1) > > >
Guest guest
Hi thanks for your reply. is due another bone age scan in a fortnight just before we go back to London to see Dr Stanhope. sees Dr Stanhope once a year so we can ask more questions then. Past bone age scans showed 's bone age was behind his chronological age but I cannot remember by how much.
