Guest guest
I was looking for gouda the other day and the only thing they had was smoked. So I was good and didn't get it, because I figured it could be who-knows-what added for the flavor, not genuinely smoked. And it was from Italy so I figured not much chance of writing to ask about it! Too often, so-called " smoked " cheese has the flavor added, not by actual smoking, but by the addition of smoke flavor. There are a couple of smoke flavors which some people believe may be legal, but I don't trust smoke flavor -- ghu knows what they put into it. Guest guest
Coming from Italy would have a better chance of being natural smokes than being made here in the USA I would think. All meet is free range in Italy, but i'm not sure about the fruits/veggies if they are organic or not. Orverall, much better quality of food there. I've had smoked cheese before and as long as there's no natural smoke flavorings in it i've been fine.
