Lucy,I think that is a CYA kind of statement in that butter is considered a milk product in general. If you notice the way it is written it lists the ingredients 'cultured pasteurized cream.' see the period? Then it says 'Contains Milk' in a completely new sentence. If it had milk added it would have read 'cultured pasteurized cream, milk.' I know it is very subtle, but the way it is written explains it all.AmeliaFrom:

Hello everybody,

I was looking for a good quality grass-fed butter. My naturopath said that Pure Irish Butter sold in Trader joe's and other places is a good choice. Bought it, read the label: "cultered pasterized cream. Contains milk". That last thing scares me. Does it mean that after they make butter (which should be 100% fat, right?) they add milk to it, rendering it illigal for us? Please advise. And if this butter is illigal can you recommend the good grass-fed butter please?
