Guest guest
Terre, i wish you the best on your biopsy-my only advice to you is make sure that the nurses don't touch your boxes or your tubes...leave that to your dr. I had my biopsy 10/23/08-my tubes got infected & my lung collapsed so they did another one on 10/27/08 because of an infection-after that i still wasn't able to breathe so i asked the dr to please open me up again-he did on 11/3 (3 hrs later) one of my honeycombs on my lung had a leak. Then i was finally released from hospital on 11/7 went home for weekend-but because i coughed too hard my lung again collapsed so i back into the hospital on 11/10 & another long stay finally released 11/14 & thankfully out for good. Still n recovery & waiting to be listed-i pray your's goes easier. Just becareful with all the different nurses coming in & out of your room. Don't be in a hurry to recover take your time & ask the dr for sleeping pills to sleep because the med's will keep u up & with a loss of appetite. It will take time but you will get your appetite back-i promise. I have been dx with IPF, but when I applied for a drug trial the qualifying doctor said that I didn't have IPF. So, Dr. Glassberg has ordered a biopsy. I have it tomorrow, Friday the 23rd. The surgeon she recommended is Dr. Nguyen. He seems like a good doctor to deal with. He has been very approachable and answered all of my questions so far. I should have some info by Monday as to my experience at U of M.Terre, IPF, 6-08> > >> > > Hi, this is my first post. I am a 43 year old Male in Miami, FL.
