Guest guest
I think doctors in this country have some pretty weird issues. They seem to be threatened by anyone without an MD that has any kind of expertise in medical or physical matters. Orthotists would be a good example. I think it stems from the fact that they (MDs) are much more highly esteemed and paid than is really appropriate. However, now that anyone can look stuff up on the internet (some savvy is required to know what to trust, of course), doctors are getting really nervous that we will stop seeing them as demi-gods. I have had some really wonderful doctors, but some real losers too. Peds are particularly tricky. From what I've experienced, most of them don't know much or anything about either plagio or breastfeeding, which are two pretty important topics! > > Hi, I'm new here and just wondering if anyone else had a pediatrician who blew off torticollis and plagiocephaly as something the baby would outgrow? It makes me wonder whether we should switch doctors. I had to push to get the baby PT, but only after the damage was done. The doc is still convinced his head will straighten out on it's own, but he's now 6 months old and it looks worse to me than last month. I'm SO frustrated! >
