Guest guest
Dear Farmworker Health Colleague, Does your outreach program have a new and creative way to overcome barriers facing farmworkers? Maximize health center resources? Partner with others in the community? Engage and empower farmworkers in their health? Collect and use data on farmworkers? Reach out to an emerging population or address an emerging issue among farmworkers? If the answer is yes, you should submit an Innovative Outreach Practice today! To complete the easy, online application, please visit www.farmworkerhealth.org/nominate. Don’t delay--the deadline is Friday, September 12, 2008! FHSI is looking for Innovative Outreach Practices that can be replicated throughout the migrant health community. All submissions will be considered for inclusion in FHSI’s 2009 Innovative Outreach Practices Report, and submitting Migrant Health Centers and Voucher Programs will be automatically nominated for the Sister Cecilia B. Abhold Award. Benefits of the award include exposure at your region’s Migrant Stream Forum, a plaque to display in your health center, a $200 stipend for educational materials, and more. Please visit http://www.farmworkerhealth.org/abhold.html for more information. Thank you, Cassie Caravello Program/Executive Assistant Farmworker Health Services, Inc. 405 14th St. Ste 809 Oakland, CA 94612 (510) 268-0091 www.farmworkerhealth.org
