DS doctor close to Milwaukee?

Hi gang,

I have a friend who is interested in the DS and lives in Milwaukee,

Wisconsin. Where is the closest DS doc to her?

She is 500 plus pounds and I don't think she will even consider a

plane ride. A long distance car ride prolly isn't the best option

after a major open surgery either but I think I've finally convinced

her the DS is better than the RNY (she has an RNY doc locally).

Also, she is on Medicade, disabled due to her size and co-morbidities.

This has been a big deal. Six months ago she was much too afraid of

surgery to consider anything. I've stayed out of it and she has come

around on her own, but has remained stubborn about not traveling for

surgery.

Finally, the other night I called her and said, " If your husband had

to have life saving surgery would you take him to the doc who had 60%

success or 85% success? " Of course she said 85% and I told

her, " That's what we're talking about here. Pick the right surgery

and leave location out of it. " She's agreeable to it, but I don't

blame her at all for not wanting to travel a great deal.

Any ideas anyone? I would appreciate it very much.
