Guest guest
I am 22 and have had crohns disease for 3 years. Recently I have had a very bad flare up with diarria 30-40 times a day and horrible cramping and vomitting. I am still weaning myself off of 60 mg of prednisone, I am down to 15 at the moment. I am feeling much better than I was but im not at 100 percent yet. I started the SCD about 2 months ago and have been experiencing the worst bloating of my life. I am bloated all day, every day. I have lost 30 pounds during this last flare up but my clothes are still tight around my stomach because I am so bloated and distended. I wasnt eating much these past few months due to the fact that I was so sick, and now that I am eating a normal amount of food I am getting very full very fast and it just doesnt go away. I dont know what to do to make myself more comfortable. Should I be avoiding certain foods even though they are legal on the diet? and if so what are they? I have been eating a lot of eggs, and I have made my own bread from almond flour. I am also eating a lot of veggies and salad which I know are very gassy but I feel if i cut those out I wont be left with much of anything to eat. I would greatly appreciate any advice that anybody can offer me!
