Guest guest
Anyone, My son just started Super Nu Thera w/P5P (green apple) and is only up to a 1/2 tsp. dosage a day. This is the only recent change to his GFCF lifestyle. He is verbal, but the addition of the SNT shows great promise because now he is very, very chatty. All of a sudden, he is constantly licking his lips. Is is getting cooler where we live (Indiana), but not cold. Even in the past winters, he did not have this habit. He now has a huge red ring around his lips. Does anyone know a GFCF lip balm, etc. for his lips? He has no issue drinking water all day long, so I don't think dehydration is a problem. He does have phenol issues (not tested, but obvious). Could the SNT be causing his licking problem? Thanks for any input. Guest guest
We are just starting the gfcg diet and I was hopeing the lip licking and mouth ring would go away. SO maybe it is something else. My sons get this EVERY winter. If you discover a cause, please post.
Guest guest
Hi Liz, My son (and most people in my family)get this too. What I find works best is Noxema. I called and it is gfcf. It burns a little at first but then clears the rash up. I put it on my son when he is asleep and by morning the rash is greatly improved. If you can do it a few times a day it works really well. Good Luck... > Anyone, > > My son just started Super Nu Thera w/P5P (green apple) and is only up to a > 1/2 tsp. dosage a day. SNT/P5P causes hyper in some kids. http://home.pacbell.net/cscomp/phenol.htm > All of a sudden, he is constantly licking his lips. Is is getting cooler > where we live (Indiana), but not cold. You might want to consider that the SNT is causing your child to regress. http://home.pacbell.net/cscomp/handlick.htm > He does have phenol issues (not tested, but obvious). Could the SNT be > causing his licking problem? For my son, the answer to this question would be yes. You should consider stopping the SNT and trying one of Kirkman's other vitamin supplements without mega B6 and P5P, per my phenol link above.
