Guest guest
OK all, I just got a rejection from Brown and Toland for Rabkin. They said the Medical director turned it down and I need to try " Dr. saxon's Modified fast diet?? " What this about? I qualify under the NIH, I have BMI of 62 and have comorbids. The rep told me that I needed to talk to my dr's office about the notes that were sent, apparently it was not enough !! What was on there was Optifast, weight watchers, all kinds of stuff....I do have family history; unfortunately that was not put on the LOMN, but when I asked about it, the office said that wouldn't matter ...? Is this just a stall by B & T? WHat do I do next? I was told I would get word back after appeal at 72 hours...but now I have to start the damn appeal process. Even though I've saved info, I feel frozen and don't know what to do. I have to find out how to appeal from Rabkin's office, I guess. Anyone else have this experience?? Please let me know!! Hawkins Preop / BMI 60 / 240 to lose / 150 lbs bound! Appealing authorization 10-17 Rabkin in SF ****** Hoping soon for a switcheroo! *******
