I am not familiar with a 766. Could you tell me more about it? Is

this a label for someone who qualifies for special services because

of a physical disability? Is it a state code or a national code?

Each state has its own labels that are set after the national

guidelines/rules are written and signed. As of July 1, there will

be a whole NEW set to deal with as Bush signed in a new set of laws

for kids with special needs. I have not heard too much about it,

but I do know that a lot is going to fall on us, the teachers. It

is good for parents, however, because they will not be required to

attend as many meetings and sign so many papers if they don't want

to. But there is definitely going to be more difficulty getting

some kids in for services in a more specialized setting such as a

self-contained or resource classroom. " No Child Left Behind " sounds

great in theory and I do think works to an extent, but it is being

taken too far and those with more severe/complicated/involved needs

are going to suffer.
