Guest guest
Coconut flour is legal but it's advanced. Tropical Traditions or Elena's Pantry are two good websites to check out for cooking with coconut flour/recipes etc. Just be sure to watch for illegals so you can replace them (honey instead of sugar, agave, or maple syrup and coconut flour instead of arrowroot powder, etc.) Just as a forewarning, be careful with Bob's Red Mill products. I've heard of some folks not tolerating them well because of cross-contamination in their facility. It was something like the machines may be used for items with gluten, and when they change the production line to a gluten-free item, they throw away the first few batches that run thru to clear out the gluten. For some folks this could be ok, but there's always some that react. HTH To: BTVC-SCD Sent: Thu, April 22, 2010 10:27:00 AMSubject: Re: Substitute for Arrowroot - Bob's Red Mill coconut flour? I personally like Tropical Traditions coconut stuff. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
