Guest guest
Dear Carole, Thanks for propping up my flagging self-esteem where the epidural was concerned. I feel better knowing people understand and care, and I have good news to report regarding the epidural: I still recommend it for others, as it appears my experience is not the norm, and my surgeon is looking into the records to see just who did the placement and why it didn't go well. So hopefully no one else will be reporting any similar stories. Also, it appears that a patient can request 'twilight sleep' when undergoing the placement procedure, so that is also an option if you find the thought of needles in your spine give you 'the willies'. Definately the route I'm going if I'm ever in the same position again. (I'm thinking ahead to hernia repair {if necessary} and the tummy tuck that comes with it!)
