Yes this can happen.

Take a few days rest and then use a small squeeze (just a couple of drops) of

the lemon in water (maybe warm water)

This happened to me too.

Glad to know I'm not a weirdo ;-). I'll try again in a couple days with less

lemon.

OT...my bird was sitting on my shoulder when I had the lemon water. She leaned

her down for a drink. I was sure she would do her head shake and gag (her

reaction to something " yucky " ), but she kept dipping in for more. Maybe she

wants to do a liver cleanse too :-)
