Guest guest
Hey Jodie, I'm going thru the same thing with Coby and have been for the past few months. Coby was at a great weight when we saw Dr. H in July, but the past 3 months Coby's weight has slowed to almost a stop. He did grow a good amount in height so I'm hoping after the growth spurt the weight will pick back up. I feel exactly the way you do. Coby eats really well. I try to make sure that everything he does eat is high cal, but I feel like I'm failing. I have never had this hard of a time getting Coby to gain weight. It's very frustrating and it seems to be on my mind all the time. I am anxious to hear the other responses. Take care and hang in there. le, mom to: Shye 10, Brock 8, and Coby(rss) & Carlee
Guest guest
Jodie, Good luck w/ . I'm thinking of you guys and hoping the stress subsides. It's the worst. Give me a call if you feel like talking. Kathy (Jack, 5, non-RSS and Willie, almost 4, 25 lbs, 34 in, Periactin, Zantac, Prevacid)
Guest guest
Dr. H. would be angry at me for suggesting this, but experience with Max has proven me correct: Have you tried a " drug holiday " with the Periactin? We used to find that taking Max off of it for a couple of weeks and then starting back up again seemed to boost the medication and make it start working again, even if we did not see him eating more, he still gained weight again. Just a thought. Jodi Z
Guest guest
Well Jodi, We took a drug holiday over the holidays. Not so much on purpose, but between the flu and family being home and Coby's horrible attitude while on Periactin we didn't use it for just over a week. We're back on it now...crossing my fingers. Bright side, the GHT is working. He is to tall for several pairs of pants now!!! However, the bigger sizes still fall off his skinny little butt..heehe le, mom to: Shye, Brock, Coby & Carlee
Guest guest
Hi Jodie, Try not to stress yourself out about 's weight. Jordan goes through the same weight issues. He gains a little and loses alittle. From March 2004 to November 2004 he only gained 3 pounds. I' ve been weighing Jordan from the time he was 5 months old up until recently and I just told myself i can't keep making myself crazy over this. I don't do it as much any more. I make sure he eats as much as he can tolerate. What else can we do? We all follow Dr. H. and her protocol which may work well for some and not others. No one knows why. We just have to stick with it and not give up and RELAX a little. Believe me I am just starting to relax after 4 years cause I know there's more to come. Smile, your children are great.
