We decorated Avery's band with fabric. We just picked out a cute pattern and modge podged the band, put the fabric on and then modge podged it again. We love it!

I ONLY use Coree at bling your band blogspot. her website is

http://www.blingyou rband.blogspot. com/

She has the best stuff, but I would suggest using modpodge over the stickers. There is a ton of info in the files on the plagio page.

We found out today that our son will need the DOC band. I am definitely interested in decorating the band, to help make it less clinical for the little guy. Does anyone have suggestions as to how? What worked best? Concerns with paint fumes? Stickers vs. paint, etc.Any tips would be hugely useful! Thanks.

Hi I am new here. My son , 10 MOS, Received his Starband Friday. I bought

tons of stickers...I tried to stay away from the paper ones. I want some ideas

for the type of stickers I should use. Are the raised ones not suitable? What

have you experienced with decorating dos and don'ts? Thank you for any advise.

Caree

I'm a little late in responding but I have used the viynl transfers and I think I can help.

To apply them, use a credit card (or something similar) to transfer the decals to the sticky side of the paper, then peel the smooth side off, apply the sticky side with the decals to the band, use the card to transfer and smooth them onto the band and then peel the sticky side off.

Voila! Beautifully decorated band!

I have found that sealing them (especially for the younger babies that don't sit up or crawl yet) helps them stay without quickly getting peeled off.

The alcohol is recommeded for cleaning unsealed decals, but I discovered the hard way that the alcohol will remove the sealant.

To remove the decals, remove any sealer with alcohol and use something thin (a fingernail, toothpick, nail clipper) to pick up an edge of the decal. Then it will just peel off.

I have replaced/changed my son's decals twice now and I love the viynl transfer decals from Coree at blingyourband!

I have a related question about vinyl transfers - how do you remove them from the band if you want to change designs? Does rubbing alcohol or goo gone work? Thanks,Jocelynton, IL> > >> >> > Use the clear backed stickers (I had a VERY frusterating experience with> > paper backed stickers that would not come off!!). I would try to e-mail her requesting the design you are interested in. She has links on the site with all the styles she's already done. I see she updated the site on June 9th, so she's still monitoring it.

Oliver, 18 weeks, re-starting DOCband June 16th

, 3 YO, could possibly use a helmet for protection, LOL
