Guest guest
Hi bruce...he prescribed it to me when i told him i was still in pain back in 1/09...but he as well as my heart dr both prescribed zanax while in the hospital..but i refused that too, i mean while in the hospital i did take most of what was prescribed to me but once i got out i have not...the reason he wanted to increase the amitryptylin is because i told him i still had pain in my right lung & upper back because of the 4 surgeries.....but thankfully..not as much anymore..either way..he did not increase it. But he says mainly its for pain...have u never heard of amitryptylin? i do not see a psychiatrist...i do have a very close relationship with my pastor though..thanks for asking Dot/uip10/08/42/sa,tx Subject: Re: Newby-anti depressant! To: Breathe-Support Date: Monday, November 9, 2009, 1:39 PM DorothyAmitryptylin is a tricyclide too.I do have a question. Why is your pulmonologist the one to prescribepsychiatric meds? I know many disagree with me but I think if one isgoing to take psyciatric meds on anything over a very brief period theyshould get them from a psychiatrist. I'm not going to a psychiatrist toevaluate and prescribe for my lungs. Just a personal opinion. Now, it would be common for you to have to increase the dosage ofamitryptylin until you found the most effective dosage. But if thedosage you're on is working, then no need to increase.> > > > >> > > > >> > > > > Hi Gale,> > > > > Welcome to the group, and I am sorry to hear of yourdiagnosis.> When> > > > > you said that your pulmonologist gave you a prescription foran> > > > > anti-anxiety medication, that got my attention, as I toosuffer> from> > > > > depression.
