Guest guest
Too bad they don't have flouroscopy in the OR, >>>> Shelly, I had mine done with floroscopy in the OR! (yeah at OHSU) They had forgotten about me so there was no time to get me to pain management to have the epidural placed so they took me right to the OR and had the floroscopy delivered there and got going. When they were done they flipped me over and knocked me out! It didnt hurt me at all....just a little pressure and something like a bee sting and that was it! By the way.....congrats on the pound a day loss....you are doing great! hugs, Judie
Guest guest
> Dear All, I really > don't tolerate pain well, do I? > > Hugs, > Shelly Hey Shelly - there was NO EXCUSE for what the " Pain Management " (what a joke!) people put you through! They were incompetent, showing that they were " reading " instructions on how to do the damn procedure! What a crock and then to blame YOU for moving when the idiots didn't know what they were doing! AND then to top it off when you woke up with half your body in PAIN because they didn't set up the epidural correctly. I'm sorry, but I think you did great with making it through all the pain they put you through. I will probably be having an epidural, too, and I sure don't want to have an experience like yours! I'm glad you are doing so well with your surgery, but I tend to think that being the subject of a " learning experience " for people in a learning hospital is not the way to go. That nurse that was " so nice " to you should have spoken up and gotten someone else to do the procedure. I'm sorry you had to experience such pain when it wasn't necessary. Guest guest
Oh Judie, You lucky gal! Wish I'd had the same experience you'd had! But I am happy with the weight loss to date, and that's why I had the surgery to begin with... So I'm going to try to stop obsessing on the epidural and get with the positive.
