What Dr. told me is from the hair analysis tests he has seen,

usually those that were in the Graco Pack & Play had very high

antimony and moderately high ansenic. Those in crib mattresses tend

to be higher in arsenic but moderately high in antimony. Though

Graco comes up again and again it is really a concern with all

playpens. According to him beds & playpens is the main concern over

the pjs because mildew causes a chemical reaction so it becomes a

gas. Pjs and bedding are washed before mildew can form. If you do

anything, make sure to cover the beds. If you chose not to replace

the bedding and pjs, just make sure you wash them often. Of course

it is always best to do the safest thing you can afford to do. I

have also heard that antimony & arsenic can come from cigarette smoke

but my husband and I have always avoided cigarette smoke. Before

they banned smoking in restaurants here in CA, we never went to a

restaurant that did not have a separate smoking section that had a

closed door to the rest of the restaurant. Obviously my son did not

get it from smoke. If you haven't checked it out yet, go to

www.criblife2000.com.

I'm sure my son is just like his grampa and father. Gramps is

classic Asperger's while dad has shadows of it. My son is just like

them. I'm thinking in our case it's a genetic thing. Who knows,

maybe they are all poisoned by heavy metals. I'm still trying to

figure all of this out.

I believe most autistic kids have heavy metal issues (the exception

being those with Fragile X). The question is which metals? My

theory is because each of our kids have a different mix of metal

poisoning; each of our kids have a different set of symptoms and

quirks. I think genetics comes into play when it comes to the

inability of the body to rid of these metals naturally. Some kids

are born sensitive and some are so poisoned that good genes cannot

help them. My family and my husband's family has no history of

neurological disorders. I believe my son was poisoned by his playpen

but I believe it made him incapable of eliminating any other metals

he might have gotten from his vaccines, drinking water, aluminum

cookware etc. I believe if he was never in that playpen, he would

have been able to fight off any poisoning that came his way.
