Yogurt starter on counter and late???

I made yogurt late last night. Even though the starter was right near the yogurt

maker I forgot to put it in and I forgot to put the starter in the fridge.

I just added the starter but is it bad? It has been 7 hours. Bummer that was

supposed to be for shortcake.

What do you think? Should I throw it away?
