Guest guest
Pink Yes, actually I did. It's become a huge problem in all food sections to find things not just loaded with sodium. I was just looking yesterday at some really nice gourmet meals a local grocer sells, already prepared. Just like all the frozen foods, packed with salt. As a society we've become so conditioned to equating salt to better taste. I even order steak unseasoned when I eat out. If I order fries, I get them unseasoned. Not too long ago I was looking for something interesting for the crock pot but 90% of the " slow cooker meals " you find prepackaged are loaded with salt. And, low fat and even some low carb are worse sometimes as they just put more sodium in to make up for whatever taste they feel was left out. > > > > If you follow the recipe as is it comes out a bland tasteless mess but > if you add salt to your liking and a package of bacon bits and the lemon > it is quite nice.
