Bruce,

Trust me the resevoir they brought me had no regulator on it. After looking at it myself I asked the delivery man and then confirmed with the manager at the office. This particular company does not supply liquid O2 for stationary use, only to fill the portables. So when I had the liquid resevoir they also supplied me with a concentrator for stationary use. This company also only supplied the smallest Helios unit which made it useless for me. After a month I sent it back and went back to E tanks. This among other issues is why I switched providers a couple of months ago.

The Marathon is most likely what you need. I believe Bruce posted all the times and how long the various units will last depending on the rate at which you have it set.

There is definitely a learning curve for filling them. They can freeze up and then it can take about a half an hour for it to thaw so that it can be used. It doesn't sound like anyone really taught you properly how to use the thing. When you call your supplier tomorrow insist on speaking with a manager, not just the customer service rep. Ask them to send someone out to teach you how to use it and practise it with you. There is no point in having a piece of equipment that you can't use. That's got to be extremely frustrating!!

mary beth did you know about the marathon at that time? depending on the lpms, it can last a short time or a very long time -- i am constantly changing the setting depending on what i am doing -- to make it last longer -- sometimes i bring the green tanks for back up., but rarely use them

the resevoirs that they send me are not set up for in home use -- just for refilling the portables

Joyce,

Absolutely yes I knew about the Marathon and the Companion 1000 also. The problem at that time was with my O2 provider. They did not offer any liquid portable but the little Helios Plus. I asked and asked and asked but that is all they offer. My current provider has much better options but for now I'm content with the tanks.

Pink, I have a marathon. I love it! Depending upon how I use it I can be out all day! I am on 4 lpm and if I am on constant flow it only lasts about 4 hours but if I put it on pulse which I do while driving and things like that it lasts 8-9 hours. If the resevoir you are talking about are the big tanks I have in my house with Liquid, I have several. I had a reseoir going to Denver in my car and it would NOT refill the Marathon-neither could National Jewish. The Marathon takes a Helios pressure to fill. I have a special tank at home just to fill my marathon. Joyce rudy AZ birds

I didn't know the technical term for the big tank I have in my living room was called a resevoir. That is what I use to fill my Marathon. On the second floor I have a concentrator that I use all around the house. When the resevoir was initially delivered the driver told methat I could use it in the event I ever lost electricity. This has happened two times so I'm glad I have both.
