Guest guest
Dr. in Oregon did it " pure " lap or open. I don't think that she did many of the laps, though. Now she doesn't do either - too complex a surgery. Dr. Elariny does it " pure " lap. I don't know which others doing it " pure " lap. There is a list of surgeons on the Duodenal Switch Information Zone website showing who does it lap. Rabkin's version is lap " assisted " which means there is a smallish incision near the navel through which he pulls the small intestine in order to measure it. Dr. Keshishian is starting to do lap (I believe " assisted " but I'm not sure), too. Best- Nick in Sage lap DS > In a message dated 11/1/01 12:58:44 PM Central Standard Time, > duodenalswitch writes: > > << Aren't Gagner and the other NY full lap DS surgeons the only ones (aside > from RNY surgeons, of course) who leave the gall bladder? > >> > > Are these the only surgeons who do the DS surgery lap? > > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >
