update on Tori Jean and gtube

Thanks to those of you that were thinking of us. Everything went

very uneventful this morning. Tori finishes her feeding at like

1:30 am. so at that time we knew the tube was in place. She got up

at 6:30 saying her tube was out.

We tried to insert it at home but the site started to close. I had

the surgical dr paged. They set up an appt for 8:30. They have

tubes that are stiffer and used to dilate the site. They started

with what I think she called a 10. Then inserted two other sized

tubes and place the mickey button

One nurse held Tori's feet, NP placed the tube, I held arms and

talked to her and the other nurse was by her head.

The tube was back in place within like 5 min. once we started

everything.

Yes, Tori did cry but I think it was just more having to lay still

than anything else.

She sat up I gave her hug, the nurse gave her two stickers (don't

they work wonders), and then Tori went on to preschool.

It wasn't as horrible as I thought it was going to be. I think my

stomach was curning more than anything else
