Guest guest
Dear BJ: Gluten Free Pantry might be meticulous about washing their machines but it still states that the product contains Dairy. I have the bag in front of me that a friend gave to me yesterday. In the upper right hand corner it states clearly DAIRY. If they are so meticulous about washing their machines then what is it that is dairy? I hope we can solve this puzzle. I will contact the company again tomorrow. I documented my last conversation when they indicated it is not dairy free. Sharon
Guest guest
Hi Sharon, None of the ingredients listed have casien in them -- so if there is a problem, it would be with cross-contamination. I hope not -- the whole family enjoys these brownies. We have been eating them all along -- without any obvious reactions. I will watch for your post tomorrow. Guest guest
BJ: My son is extremely sensitive to cross contamination also and that is why I have not used the product. I contacted a friend whose father-in-law is a Rabbi and he said that the symbol that is on the label indicates Dairy in the product and he would not eat it. Sorry, I am not Jewish so I don't know the term they use but he blesses food and indicates if it is Kosher. Sorry, this is the best way I can describe it. I will wait and hear from Gluten Free Pantry before I try the product. Also, could you let us know if your child has a reaction. Thanks for being so helpful.
