Guest guest Posted May 26, 2010 Report Share Posted May 26, 2010 i am also somewhat concerned about the yogurt and farmers cheese since i elimated all dairy over a year ago. i am hoping the chemistry will change in my stomach and i will be able to tolerate the yogurt, etc. When I started SCD last summer I hadn't had dairy of any sort (even butter) for 27 years. I honestly thought I would never be able to have them again. But after about six months, I had enough healing that butter and cheese are OK now. I haven't tried DCCC, but am about to learn how to make our yogurt. Now fish is the thing I wonder if I will ever be able to handle, but heck, maybe next year I can. So yes, your gut does change as healing takes place. I might also mention that I am now no longer using HCl after decades of needing it, AND I'm eating more protein, too.
