Guest guest
I don't post very much at all, but i do enjoy your comments. over the course of the last few weeks, actually more the last one week. my little girl has started to walk. for those of you that may think walking??? no big deal. well not so long ago, i was the mom who was drowning in dr. appts, not knowing if i could hold on any longer. i was mother of two babies essentially, they are 22 months apart, but big sis is at the same stage as little sis so they may as well be twins, no family, no friends that REALLY knew what i was going through, and i just didn't know what i was going to do. savannah (rss) wouldn't eat, drink, crawl, talk.... NOTHING but now she is 3.5 years old. about 32 inches tall and about 22 pounds.!!!!!! there is an end (or an " easy " period) to those who are patient and just put their trust in God. Savannah is eating all by herself. we had a G tube for 3 years and an NG before that, and she had not eaten on her own at all until the last 8 months. she has really taken off at eating and she is talking (not sure what she is saying) but she is jabbering sentences and putting two words together. she eats like a horse!!!!! her sister (no rss) eats WAY less than she does. it is just incredible and remarkable the past few months have been in her development. but the GREATEST accomplishment of all is that she is WALKING!!!!!! at 3.5 years old, i thought that i would honestly NEVER see the day. now she has a walker mind you and she walks VERY well with it, but the walking that i am talking about is INDEPENDENT of her walker. she will take up to 15 steps at a time!!!!! it is really amazing. i am so glad for her. it will open up so many opportunities for her to learn and to grow. all the ot pt speech and many visits to the dr are finally paying off (for now). anyhow thanks for letting me share the accomplishments that savannah has made. for all those who are struggling, remember there is someone greater than you that will give you help and strength to endure just one more day, but you have to ask Him to help you. good luck to you all brittany Savannah 3.5 rss gh periactin, zantac
