Officially Pre-op

I had my consultation with Dr. Hess on Monday. Everything was faxed

to my insurance company before I left the office with the exception of

my documentation of supervised diets. They said it was too many pages

for them to fax. So I was going to fax them Wednesday morning after

we got back home. When we got home Tuesday night there was a message

from my insurance company saying they had a message for me and to call

them back. My caseworker was off today so I pressed the 0 for

emergency so I could talk to anyone who could tell me what my message

was. I am officially approved!!!

Dr. Hess originally set my date for January 23 but promised me I'd get

in before the end of the year once I had approval. Once it gets to

his office in writing they will give me my new date.

I almost feel bad posting this because approval was so easy for me and

I know so many of you have had to struggle and fight to get it

approved if even then but for the sake of those who come after us and

search these archives I wanted to include it. I don't know if they

have individual plans but if they do it might be a good one for people

to look into if they need it.

Also thank you to everyone who has answered my questions. I was

nervous about the consult but it went fine. And I especially want to

thank whoever suggested I list nursing as a diet attempt since I

didn't have much structured diet programs and it was a great way to

explain why I haven't tried any of the fad diets that have come along.
