treatment of constipation[1] and hepatic encephalopathy, a complication

molecule each of the simple sugars (monosaccharides) fructose and

galactose. The commercial syrup used for treatment of constipation is

dyed yellow-orange. It is produced commercially by isomerization of

lactose.
