Hernia, good and bad

I just got back from my 9 month checkup with Dr. A. (94 lbs by his

scale, but that was with my clothes on - well most of them, anyway!)

He verifies that my hernia is humongous, but of course any Tom, Dick

or Harry can see that!

The good news--he wants to repair it as soon as possible. He

explained that it is more typical to wait to repair it when you are

closer to your goal weight, but because of it's size (honeydew melon

or soccerball, take your pick) in this case he says we should do it

now.

The bad news - I am still 40 lbs or more from my goal. Actually I

don't really have a fixed number for a goal. I mean, I would love to

be 140 or 150, but I just don't think that that will happen, so I

keep thinking that i will be OK with 170.

More bad news - I also want the TT and BR. The more I lose after

these surgeries, the more saggy I'll be, right?

So I have an appointment with Dr. Downey in december and maybe we'll

get this ball rolling!

I guess I can live with saggy, and it's got to be better than the

giganto belly that preceeds me by several feet, and the boobs that

rest on top of it!
