Thank you for mentioning Ofc. Lasater Cindy. He is a true hero.

During our stay in the hospital a police officer my husband works

with was shot and killed in the line of duty (he was chasing after

two robbery suspects). Although it was hard enough with all the

fears and worries we were experiencing concerning , we were

devastated by the news.

It did put some things in perspective for us though. Ofc. Larry

Lasater was expecting his first son. He had tried for six years to

conceive with his wife, and the miracle of life had finally

happened. She is seven months pregnant. Sadly, he will never get

to see his son, Cody. Our hearts ache for them.

Even so, the legacy of this honorable man will never be forgotten.

I realized when I was the most afraid of losing that I should

at least be grateful that we have been able to spend time with

him...despite all the ups and downs...we have got to share smiles

and hugs...

Life is too short and we shouldn't take it for granted. Live and

love...

that is a very sad thing that happend to your husbands friend and

coworker!! i will keep that family in my thoughts and prayers!!

This really made me tear up. I am soooo sorry for all you guys have

been through lately. I am also very heavy-hearted for Ofc. Lasater's

wife and family right now. Please know that they will be in my

thoughts and prayers. How terrible that after all they had been

through in trying to conceive his wife will be having their baby boy

without her husband being there physically. Please tell that I

am thinking about him and praying for him. You all have such a

wonderful outlook though. May God continue to strengthen you and

keep your family safe.
