Guest guest
Congrats on the almond butter! Cheese chips are an awesome suggestion. A less awesome suggestion, but the first thing that popped into my head, was Marilyn's veggie crackers. They take some work to make, but are a bit like cream and chive chips, which isn't cheesy, but it's tastes like a chip and is very yummy! Marilyn posted the recipe here:http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/BTVC-SCD/message/9128 Hey Pegi! I totally feel for/with you. I am on my 8th month of SCD and still eat just about everything pureed/cooked. BUT... there is hope! Are you eating cheese? Cheese chips may just have saved me on this diet. I've made them with swiss, havarti, and gouda- all are delicious! I buy pre-sliced cheese and cut the slices (ha, ha) into quarters, arrange them on a parchment-lined cookie sheet, and bake at 350 for 18-20 minutes. Then I put them on paper towels while they are cooling to soak up some of the grease. They are so good! They are no replacement for Doritos (hee, hee), but they sure are good. Better than cheeze-its at least... Hope you like them! -Joanna SCD 9/2009, Crohn's 1992, 25mg Prednisone > On another topic, does anyone have any suggestions for something crunchy -- I'm still not able to eat any advanced foods, but I am jonesing so bad for something crunchy -- I am a former Spicy Nacho Dorito addict. I would appreciate any suggestions. > > Pegi
