Guest guest
let me try and remember what I ate a the 3 week mark. I had my surgery on 1 Nov so three weeks would have put me at Thanksgiving. I ate a bite of turkey, a bite of yams and a bite of dressing. I ended up having " deja " food. I sipped a lot of water! What stayed down, I ate. Maybe some cheese on crackers. Some string cheese. i tried to eat hardboiled eggs. I even tried yogurt. Someone on the list suggested tomato soup, eaten sip by sip. That worked a little. You can't eat much, and I found nothing tasted good, and most things did not stay down anyway. Try everything, a little at a time. Dr. Anthone told us to eat whatever we wanted to, even to make sure to get in a beverage with calories in it. You'll be taking in so few calories, that you should be able to tolerate a little juice or even a sugar beverage. I found that the only way I could get a lot of water in was to drink hot water with honey. Things will get better, I promise. Once the swelling of your tummy goes down, you'll be eating more food. Just eat a little at least every 2 to 3 hours. Cat Woman
