Guest guest
Siri was looking for confirmation that Fed. Blue does in fact cover WLS. I don't think she was looking to change coverage. Fed Blue covers the procedure at either 90 or 95% (Std. vs. Hight Option). It seems to me that ALL Federal plans are required to cover the procedure. Therefore, a person's choice of what to choose should be based on factors other than simply WLS. I myself chose Fed Blue - High Option for prescription meds. I went ahead and had my surgery and it was paid IN FULL within 6 weeks. As long as the insurance another person already has is good for this procedure, I don't see the point in recommending that person change to have the same insurance as one who has gone before. I say this because our insurance choices need to cover ALL our health care needs, not just surgery. gobo > Bright Blessings: > > Mailhandlers will pay for the BPD/DS, that's who I had and still carry > > GEHA will also pay. > > It's almost open season, and time to change insurances or check the changes > in coverage on the one you are carrying. > > If you know who your surgeon is going to be, call them and ask them what > insurance is covering their procedure.
