Guest guest
Thanks PJ, I think I will stay away from all seasonings for a while! After not much sleep last night I woke this morning feeling surprisingly better until I ate 2 eggs (over easy) for breakfast. Then the pain started coming back, both fibro pain and pain in my colon. Does anyone know what to do right after a flare? Should I just eat the chicken soup today, or just broth? Does anyone know what might help me through this without starving myself? Thanks, Tamra in Gilroy FMS, CFIDS, PI-IBS-d, depression & anxiety > > I would agree with the Old Bay. We are not supposed to used mixed spices as there can be other things added to them. One of the ingredients listed is " spices " and that is pretty generic, so it could be anything. > > Hope you feel better soon. The first few months, even year, on SCD can have some ups and downs. The important thing is to stick strictly to it. > > PJ
Guest guest
I made the same mistake with the Old Bay…coming from Baltimore and all…home of Chesapeake Blue Crabs and all…and McCormick Spice…did I mention world-famous crab cakes? As far as what to eat, stick to soft, easy to digest foods for a few days, IMO, like gelatin, bone broth soups (puree back in the veggies and meat – it makes a sort of cream of whatever soup, without the cream), add some butter or coconut oil to your bowls of soup. Can you eat the yogurt? Smoothies? Ripe banana? Avocado? I would try eggs at a later date. Hang in there!
