It was faught for people like YOU who don't know the difference and might get BPD instead of BPD/DS. There is a BIG difference. Giving yourself one week to make such a major decision is kind of unrealistic. Expecting the people who have been on the list for a long time not to discuss when two surgeons stop doing the best surgery and start doing an older form that most don't feel is as good is also not realistic. This IS a support group. Whether you realize it or not, that is what was being given. Welcome to the group, but don't judge the posts unless you have been around a while and know exactly what it was all about. You can learn a lot here if you stick with the list. When I first joined a fight was going on which was pretty much mud-slinging, not anything like the " debate " we just had. I stayed with the list and I am glad I did.
