Guest guest
Hey everyone, I know Jodi has kept you all posted on maddy's situation well it only gets worse today is tuesday and we have been here since saturday and we still donot have her tube placed. After a good screaming from Dr. H ( yet again today) We are waiting to hear from some of our local hospitals to see if they have a g-j tube in a 14 french. If we are not takin care of by tonight then we are leaving here and heading straight to NY where Dr. H is going to admitt her and take of things!!! This has been the worst roller coatser ride ever. I really don't know what i would do without Dr. H, She is so pissed that a children's hospital can be this difficult when it comes to pt care. Guest guest
Chrissy, I am so sorry that you are going through all of this. When I did not hear from you after you called me on Saturday, I assumed things were okay. Then Jodie C called me to tell me what was going on. I am so glad that you followed my advice and called Dr. H.'s emergency number! I just knew she would take over. I'm just surprised that she did not have you take Maddy to NYC before now. How awful for both of you! I did suggest to Jodie, and now you, that if you ever run into needing the g-j replaced again, you should consider town Memorial. It is closer to you than NY and the GI docs there are really good. Max has had his g-j placed and replaced there three times and it has gone without a hitch. They just need to know in advance what size and they keep it onhand for situations like yours. I can give you the info when things settle down. It's hard to get an appointment in a timely manner these days for the initial visit, but once you're in, you are taken care of. And they know about RSS and Dr. H. If nothing else, Max has trained them pretty well! Let me know when you are settled. I'm thinking of you! Jodi Z
