And the lung collapsed. Picture an old bicycle tire that has seen better days. Lucky me, huh?> I just keep going is what's next. I asked the doc if this means my disease has progressed. He answered not necessarily, which we all know means, I have no way of knowing but I am optomistic it has not. But maybe. And I really love my doc. He is an excellent care-giver and diagnostician and patient advocate so I don't mean to sound negative or cavalier about it, just very realistic. > > I referred to my right lung as the evil twin earlier in the original posting so I think I will just from this point on refer to it as THE EVIL TWIN.> > And yes, thank GOD for chest tubes! Pneumothorax and all that, chest tube for which I was actually grateful, you get the picture.> > So anyway, who knew fibrotic spots could do that? I didn't get that memo. It was not in the instruction manual for "How to have lung disease". So the other good news is that now that it has happened, it could easily happen again. BUT the good news is my better lung has already compensated for its evil twin not working so well. My sats never even dropped. Had it not been for the chest pain and the darn thing flopping around in my chest I might not have noticed anything wrong. How weird is that? But we know for sure I have the heart of a lion. I actually saw it beating in the echo. Looked like a lion actually. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.> > > > Jerry I'm glad your eye is better. So we are Skyping now? Very interesting... I did not read very far back in the postings so what's new peeps? I have been thinking about you guys even though I have not been physically around.> > > > I hope everybody is having a really pleasant day. It has been a cool gray fall day here. I had an adventure and went out for a haircut today. I get to go to work again on Monday, for which I am also grateful. So this is me going on with life again.> > > > S, Lubbock, TX> > NSIP w/PF 12/2006 et al> >>
