So does the gas mean we're delaying healing? I can put up with gas, but if it's

delaying my healing, I definitely want to avoid it.

As you said, sometimes it takes a little while to adjust to a new food,

and sometimes it means a food is indigestible to you at that point and

if you continue to eat it it will effect you badly.

At your early stage, if something gives you those symptoms,

it's best just to back off that food for a while and retest later.

Later on, when you've healed more, you can try introducing foods

that take some time to introduce and get adjusted to.
