Guest guest
Actually, Dr. K has performed about 50% more surgeries than Dr. W, but Dr. K doesn't like to do it lap. Program fee is the same, and Dr. K is working to become contracted with more insurance companies...good for Dr. W for being contracted with so many! ~alyssa info on welker/attn sue > > J Welker: Eugene, OR > > OK, Dr. Welker is not in California, but he is fairly close! > > Completed about 109 DS surgeries since 1998. > > " I currently perform both open and laparoscopic techniques and > utilize a staged procedure for some of the super morbidly obese for > safety concerns. Guest guest
Hi Alyssa, Thanks for the info on Dr. Welker. I plan to put a call in to his office on Monday morning and see what I can find out. I love Dr. K and go to his support meetings, but have been frustrated with my insurance problems and want to get Dr. Welker's take on it all. I understand he is pretty aggressive helping patients get their approvals. We'll see.
