Hi Tina, I am 67 years old. Diagnosed in 2004 and have really not been sick at all. Last Jan. I had a pretty nasty infection and spent one night in the hosp. but as far as being sick no. I feel good most of the time. I have lived as normal as possible, went shopping and to church as long as I could. I used the scooters in stores that offer them. carry my 02 like I am just special. It doesn't bother me one bit to have the tube up my nose. My family is great to get me out and about. It is a bit more difficult with so much 02 to take around. But we do it.We just got back from a get together in Chattanooga, Tn. it was tiring on me but I would do it again tomorrow for the chance to see all the sweet people. I use a wheelchair due to saturation dropping. We are all blessed to have each other. You have found the best place you could ask for. Ask any questions you may have, you will get an answer from someone. me or anyone elseDon't let dates scare you, Only God knows. God Bless you with peace to withstand this monster we all fight. Remember we all are in thistogether. Love & Prayers, Peggy Florida, IPF/UIP 2004"I believe that friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet, when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly." Hi Peggy, my name is Tina IPF/UIP-2004 I'm 54 .I went through a lung biopsy .Doctor at that time said he would give me 3 years.scared me to death.Right now they say i'm stable.I go in every 3 months for chest x ray lung volume and to see doctor.I'm on no meds for my lungs.well I'm on the c pap.But thats all right now.But i know how this disease can work. Can i ask you how old you are?Did you say you was diagnosed in 2004 have you been real, real sick since then or has this came on slowly.I'm sorry for asking maybe i should wait for a reply before saying anymore.Take care of your self and god bless you.Tina From: Bruce <brucemoreland (AT) gmail (DOT) com>To: Breathe-Support Sent: Sat, November 7, 2009 1:06:20 PMSubject: Re: Hospice Help... PeggyGet them through their aides to provide as much service as you need, whether help with meals or baths or getting up and walking around orwhatever that might be. I know its not in your character to assert yourright to be treated like a Queen. But, everything they can do for you, means more moments you and and the kids can just socialize and hugand talk. I was a bit surprised when you talked about volunteers comingand helping with some of the things as they are things that I understandthe hospice aides to normally do as part of the service.
