Hi ,

I bake all the berries for 30 min. at

325F.  In the summer, when they’re local,

I can eat them raw.  I have 1 grapefruit

per week, ½ one day, the other the next.

This one I don’t cook.  For the

apples, at the beginning I would bake them also, now I can have them raw every

other day.  The lemons are used as juice

on fish, avocado and in warm water first thing in the morning.

Questions on

low-sugar fruits and S. Boulardii

So,

I started yesterday what I should have started a couple months ago when I

was having symptoms from my crohn's and that's keep a food journal.

Yesterday and today I have felt overall better than I have in months

-- granted I started taking enzymes and S. Boulardii (candida overgrowth),

but still it's quite a relief to feel better.

Basically

due to the candida, I am cutting way back on fruits ahd cheese (except

DCCC). Now that I know what foods I have somewhat bad reactions to, I

would like to try and add in some low-sugar fruits to cook a couple times a

week. Any suggestions? I'm staying clear of bananas, apples

winter squash and carrots so far because they didn't seem to sit right so

I'd like to hear some new ideas. I am also going to try and introduce

a small amount of organic almond butter this weekend to see how I feel as

well.

Also,

how long should we stay on S. Boulardii for? I have heard of people

doing it for up to 6 months, but most research sites say 3-4 weeks. I

mean, it definitely seems to be helping the candida. Maybe I should

do an 8 week trial?

Hi ,

How do you bake the apples? Are they also 30 min. at 325F? Peeled & diced?

Thanks!

Hi Tammy,

Yes, they are peeled and diced, then baked

for 30 min. at 325. I had also tried making apple sauce but that’s not as

tasty.  Now I have no problems eating

them raw with the peel but I’ve been on the diet for 2 years.
