Guest guest
Did anyone see the woman interviewed on the Early Show this morning? She had a very rare disease which completely shut down her whole digestive system. She was near death before her transplant. She had to have a 5 organ transplant - intestines, pancreas, liver, etc. I learned 2 things this morning: 1. She mentioned how important your digestive system is to your whole well-being. It inspired me to keep eating healthy! 2. There is always someone worse off than I am so I need to stop complaining! Guest guest
My mom had MS, diverticulitis, lost both kidneys, had a rare blood disease calling for many blood transfusions, the list goes on. My dad suffers from bad crohns. Through it all my dad who did everything...work, cook, take care of my mom kept saying that he was still thankful to God because there are people worse off than they were. I try to tell myself that every day. My family eats healthy because I cook but when my 7 year old complains (not too often thankfully) I tell her that she's lucky that I know what I know now because if only I knew this years ago I'd have a healthier gut. I try to teach her what I can without overwhelming her. I am thankful to all of you for your constant willingness to help.
