Guest guest
Thanks to all those who responded to me about giving Miralax through the g-tube. I have put the Miralax in 's feeding bag to give to him with his overnight feeding for the last 2 nights. Despite shaking the bag well before & during the feeding, the Miralax did not go down the tube. The first night I gave himk the full dose (17 grams) & last night I gave him half of that to see if it would go down. This morning, the Miralax is still in the feeding bag, all clumpy. How are those of you who are giving it with continuous feedings, getting it to go down? Kim C.
Guest guest
Kim, Instead of putting it in the bag, mix it with 2 ounces of formula and bolus it through the tube. Then cut back the overnight feed by the two ounces. That should work. That is what we do for . You may need to mix with a little more formula than that (we only use 1 teaspoon of miralax).
