Guest guest
Just a heads up, Zoe was at 18% weight for height two years ago and we got in major trouble with Dr. H. I'm not saying she was wrong - it really opened our eyes to the damage we could be doing by giving Zoe the wrong foods. We are shooting for 12% to 15% this year! I think Dr. H likes them to be at least 15% or more of course. B --- Briggs wrote: > Hi Brigitte > > There is a chart for weight for height. Guest guest
Hi , Do you understand how to read the chart??? If so, you want to find where you sit on the weight-for-height. Find the closest %curve and follow it across the chart. This will tell you where you are in weight-for-height. Dr H likes most of the kids to sit at the 15% line or below. Dr H worries if our kids get too heavy, because they are prone to insulin resistance, and Type II diabetes. It's really important not to let them get too fat. This exacerbates the problems. Because most RSS kids suffer from hypotonia, (low muscle tone) they have a tendency to put weight on as fat, and not muscle. Hope this helps!
