Guest guest
I'm still gathering data to support my appeal and need some more help with some specifics.... does anyone out there have specifics on a few things.... 1. the morbidity rate for the morbidly obese? 2. the morbidity rate for the " super " morbidly obese? 3. the rate of disability among the (super)morbidly obese? 4. is morbid obesity recognized as a cause of disability by the social security administration? I'm pushing on this being a cost effective way of managing my disease (e.g. less expensive to allow me the surgery than to keep paying for my comorbids as they compound and get worse). I've put together numbers for what they're already paying for me (which has exceeded the cost of the surgery already!), but am wondering if anyone knows how I could get numbers for the treatment of conditions I'm likely to get, e.g., my family has a very strong history of coronary disease and diabetes.... I don't have either yet, but I'm still under 40.... how would I find out what the general cost of treating those diseases would be? Any guides or statistics you can give would be greatly appreciated! thanks!
