Guest guest
Today was HUGE for me. I actually completed and 'graduated' from the pulmonary rehab program at Duke. I'm not going to make light of it, this was a tough tough program. At the same time however the tone was really positive and supportive. I've made substantial gains. I've lost about 12 pounds this past month. My final 6 minute walk today was 380 feet longer than my 6 minute walk at my evaluation in August. I also know now that I can walk on 7 liters with cannula and my sats remain in the low to mid 90's...no more mask!! That by itself makes me very very happy. I also appreciate the support I've gotten from all of you while I've made my way through this program. Monday I start the graduate program so that I will stay on the right track. I've gained ground and I don't want to backslide! Thanks for cheering me on!
